EFFECT OF VERMICOMPOST DOSES ON CANABIS SATIVA PHOTOSYNTHESIS-RELATED PARAMETERS, GROWTH AND YIELD

Hemp, Cannabis sativa is certainly a mul­tifunctional as well niche crop, due to great po­ten­tial for innovative use of its different products. Aspects hemp mineral nutrition are very important in the cultivation these plants, particular make cul­ti­vation environmentally friendly by replacing synthetic fertilizers with organic ones. Among fertilizers, vermicompost has gained attention within last decades. Explaining role vermicompost, this study evaluated effects doses fer­ti­lizer on hemps two separate field studies. In small-scale experiment, effect ver­micompost and adequate concentrations elements growth, physiological condition, yield was compared. The increasing condition analysed broader experiment. experiments were performed at Viļāni Scientific Centre Agricultural Resour­ces Economics, 2017 2018, using Latvian cultivar ‘Pūriņi’. A statistically significant increase chlo­ro­phyll concentration leaves under influence vermicompost.
